Snow?

I just looked out the window at noon today. It is snowing . . . yet again.

The only question that came to my mind was . . .

Did you change that doormat yet, Jeni?

Notice

Notice the picture below. As eager as those boys were to help, neither of them would put down their guns, even for a moment.

Laundry Helpers

I can hardly do anything during the day without my two helpers, Nick and Niko. They were taking the clothes from the washer and putting them into the dryer. As I was folding towels, I looked over to see two bottoms sticking out. And I didn't want to miss the photo opportunity.

More Socks

I was almost positive I sent him to school with shoes on.

A Sock

I had been dressed for about an hour this morning when I felt something strange on my arm. I looked down to discover a dark blue sock sliding out of my sleeve.

Wind

Monday we had winds up to 50 miles per hour. Kim and Tom decided to enjoy it.

One Year

I have been blogging for just over one year.

I have totally enjoyed every minute of it.

I hope to blog for many years to come.

Once again . . . thank you Jeff and Kim for sending me on this journey.

A Post Post

I realize the following post is a few weeks late. I wrote it the beginning of March but didn't want to post it until our anniversary. And then it got left beneath a stack of new blogs.

It is important. And so I post it today.

Happy Anniversary

I love my husband. I like him too.

Things are better when he’s around.

Things are easier to decide if I can talk to him.

Things are easier to manage if I can feel his hand in mine.

Sleep is definitely easier if he is beside me in the bed.

On the nights when he comes home from work and there is no supper waiting, he never complains. He just makes dinner.

He is not only a great husband, but an amazing dad. He always showers the kids, he is in charge of the baby at night and all tucking-in duties.

He comes home for lunch and is home most every night by 5:30 because we are important to him.

I love my husband. I like him too.

Happy Anniversary Todd.

Spring

Dear Spring,
Will you ever arrive? We have waited so patiently for so long for you to come to our home . . . and now our patience in running thin.
We awoke to snow again this morning. This has to be the longest, coldest winter ever!

Happy Baby

She is happy like this almost all of the time.

A Sneeze

We were playing games at the table Sunday afternoon. Niko was having a snack as he sat beside Kim. His mouth was full when the sneeze came. He turned towards Kim . . .

Bald

Justin has developed a habit. First it was the eyelashes. He said they itched his eye. And so he pulled them out, one by one, until only about 20% remained.

Then Jay pulled that chunk of hair out of his head. And they itched as they started to grow back. And so he pulled them out also.

Then the sides of his head felt weird. And so he started to pull out patches of hair on the sides of his head.

Short of putting a dog cone on his head, we didn't know what to do. So . . .

We shaved his head!

The Fashion Show

A Success.

13 beautiful girls in modest prom dresses.

April 1st

Marie says to me as she gets into the van after school on Tuesday, "Mom, I kissed someone on the lips today."

My eyebrows raise. "You did. Who did you kiss?"

"April Fools, Mom!"

She got me!

On that same note . . . just a few minutes after midnight, Todd says to me, "It's snowing again." I don't remember my exact words but I do remember feeling a moment of dread until he added, "April Fools!" And then a sigh of relief. It had just snowed a few days earlier.

Dresses, Dresses, Dresses

Everywhere!

Kim is putting on another fashion show. This time . . . modest prom dresses.
